Paul Daniels, Ken Slater and Kent captain Rob Key talk about the Ben Daniels Memorial Fund and Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY).

A Race Night was held at the Kent County Cricket Ground in Beckenham on 23rd March, which raised £1,303.88 for Cardiac Risk in the Young and the Ben Daniels Memorial Fund.

Ben was passionate about his sport, played football, tennis and cricket in Bromley and was the goalkeeper for Ex Blues under fifteen Junior Football Club. He collapsed at football training a year ago and later died, aged 15, of an undiagnosed and undetected heart condition.

The race night was opened by club captain and former England cricketer, Rob Key, who we spoke to alongside Ken Slater, Manager at Beckenham and of District Cricket in Bromley, and firstly, Ben’s father Paul Daniels.
