They also preview the weekend’s fixtures for our local sides. He’s regularly joined by Chris Humphris, Greyhound racing expert Simon Banks, and Andrew Chatterton – who looks at the world of cricket from Adelaide to Beckenham.

FRIDAY 3RD FEBRUARY

Chris and the sports team had reaction to Tuesday’s Crystal Palace v Brighton match, a look ahead to the Six Nations with Rachel Simmonite, deputy editor of The Rugby Blog, chat about day 1 of England’s final test of the series against Pakistan and a preview of The New York Giants against New England Patriots in Superbowl XLVI.

Chris and Andrew talked about Danny Boyle’s plans for the opening ceremony of London 2012, six months before the games begin. Plus, one of the most exciting men’s tennis matches of the year already – in the semi final of the Australian Open, the week’s betting tips from Simon Banks, and the return of Monty Panesar.

In football: the Crystal Palace “virus”, whether a 1-0 lead is enough to take to Cardiff for the second leg of the Carling Cup semi-final and Neil Warnock losing his job as manager of QPR. Simon resumes his betting slot and shares some tips; he also tells Andreas about the launch of Greyhound TV online and on digital television. Andrew and Chris discuss the newly plans to redevelop Kent’s county cricket ground in Beckenham and also India’s poor run of form continuing in Australia.
