Almost ready to go live…

Now we come to the really exciting bit; filling in the holes and plugging things in!

Building Our Studio

Time to start the build of our studio and have a little pop quiz while we’re at it. I met James and Michael from Taylor Building, at the crack of 9.30am, ready for a day of dust and sweat… I was not to be disappointed!

SCR Awarded £5,000 from the Mayor’s Fund

Good news! At the meeting of the Sydenham Assembly on Thursday 13th January, we were successful in our bid for a share of £25,000 from the Mayor of Lewisham’s fund. We were pleased to be awarded £5,000 that we will use to fund a new project, our premises and continued broadcasting.

An exciting new intergenerational project will teach young people between the ages of 14 and 18 skills in interviewing and radio production, whilst working together with and interviewing older people in the community, and learning from each other.

The programmes that are developed during this project will be aired online and on FM, during our intended summer broadcast.

We would like to thank everyone who worked hard to support our bid.
